Believe it or not, Walt Disney World has become quite the destination for Adult-Only trips. Partly because all of us 80s/90s kids that grew up on Disney, are now adults and we still want to go to Disney. But I also believe the rise in popularity with Adults is largely in connection to the vast amount attractions, festivals, activities, and huge selection of resort and food options, including adult beverages. I know when you think of a Disney park you don’t really think of cocktail drinks, but there are many, many options.

For me, when I think of an Adult-Only trip to any Disney park, I look at it as a One-Stop-Shop, type of trip. With the number of amazing resorts, rides, entertainment and the food and the fact that it’s DISNEY, of course, why would I want to go anywhere else? And I don’t know about you, but when I’m on vacation I like to enjoy an adult beverage or two. Let me tell you! We have had some amazing cocktails at Disney, so amazing that we even found copycat recipes, just so we can have them at home when we’re missing Disney.

What is a Lounge?

Like the name says, it’s a Lounge. Where you will find cocktails, maybe some appetizers or even a full menu. A Lounge at Disney isn’t just a bar for the 21 and over crowd. Lounges at Disney can be a lot of things. They can be a pool bar at your resort. They might also be a unique table service restaurant that has a large drink menu. There are many different types of Lounges at Walt Disney World. But one thing is for certain, if you want an adult beverage while on vacation, seek out a Lounge.

How do I find a Lounge?

Unlike the other dining options where you can filter the different types of dining options on the My Disney Experience app, with Lounges the only way to actually filter your results is on a computer or your phone’s browser to the Disney Dining page. From there you can filter the dining options to just Lounges. All of the Lounges are themed according to whatever resort it’s in or whatever park it’s in. I encourage you to look at the menus of any lounge you are interested in to make sure you know what the food options are and what ingredients are in each cocktail. Some lounges have very limited menus and may not have that certain type of drink you like. There are over 60 Lounges on the Walt Disney World property, and a total of 83 if you include the resort pool bars.

Note: there are no Lounges in Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is the only park you can’t walk around with alcohol and the only place to consume an adult beverage is at a table service restaurant.

Disney Resort Lounges

Some of my favorite lounges are at a Disney Resort Hotel. You don’t have to be a guest of a Disney Resort Hotel to resort hop and check out their dining options. One of my husband and my favorite things to do on a resort day is to resort hop and try new foods and drinks.

As you can see, not all of the resorts have lounges. Some may only have a pool bar; especially if you’re staying at a Disney Value Resort. So below is a list of resort pool bars or resort pool counter service locations where you can still enjoy a poolside cocktail or adult beverage.

One last place to enjoy an adult beverage is at Disney Springs. Disney Springs has a ton of dining options that come in all forms. It is also a place where you can purchase an adult beverage and walk around outside, so long as you stay inside of Disney Springs.

My Top 3 Lounges

There’s no doubt so many amazing choices to choose from when it comes to Lounges at Walt Disney World. You most likely wont have the same drink twice at any other Lounge. When it comes to my favorite Lounges, I really can’t pick my Number 1 because I seriously enjoy them all equally. If you are looking for “the best” Lounge to visit, you really can’t go wrong with any of my top three Lounges.

As you can see, there are so many great options if you are looking for an adult beverage. Whether you’re on an Adults-Only trip or are just wanting to relax and unwind by the pool with a cocktail, know that you’ve got options! Also do yourself a favor and check out other resorts dining options. Just because you’re not staying at a specific resort, doesn’t mean you can’t hop over and enjoy some delicious drinks and snacks!
